Primitive Gatherings Mystery Box
The Primitive Gatherings box arrives every other month and continues to be one of my favorite subscription boxes. Every shipment includes quality fabrics, patterns, and plenty of inspiration.

Fat Quarter Shop Sew Sampler | June 2026
The June 2026 Sew Sampler from Fat Quarter Shop arrived with a fun coastal theme, Making Waves, and included another beautiful mix of exclusive quilting goodies. This month’s box featured a fresh collection of fabrics by Elizabeth Hartman for Moda Fabrics, along with quality notions, a featured quilt pattern, and exciting updates on upcoming Sew Sampler projects. Scenery Fat Eighth Bundle
Designed by Elizabeth Hartman for Moda Fabrics
The featured fabric collection in this month’s Sew Sampler is Scenery by Elizabeth Hartman for Moda Fabrics. Inspired by the colors of the coast, the bundle combines calming ocean blues, vibrant corals, and soft sea glass greens with playful geometric prints. It’s a fresh, cheerful collection that’s perfect for summer quilting projects and pairs beautifully with this month’s featured pattern.
Schmetz Chrome Quilting Needles
One of this month’s practical notions was a pack of Schmetz Chrome Quilting Needles. Designed specifically for machine quilting, these needles feature a chrome-coated finish that helps reduce heat and wear while stitching through multiple layers of fabric and batting. They’re a great addition to any quilting toolkit and perfect to have on hand when it’s time to tackle your next quilt project.
Elizabeth Hartman Enamel Needle Minder
This month’s box also included an adorable Elizabeth Hartman enamel needle minder, featuring one of her signature whimsical designs. Needle minders are a handy accessory for keeping your hand-sewing or embroidery needles secure while you work, helping prevent lost needles and making stitching sessions a little more enjoyable. It’s both a practical tool and a fun collectible for fans of Elizabeth Hartman’s designs.
Superior Pima Thread
This month’s Sew Sampler also included a spool of Superior Pima Thread, a high-quality 50-weight cotton thread that’s ideal for piecing and quilting. Made from extra-long staple Pima cotton, it offers smooth, consistent stitches with minimal lint, making it a dependable choice for everyday quilting. It’s always nice to receive a premium thread that can go straight from the box to the sewing machine.

Sunset Whales Quilt Pattern
The featured quilt pattern this month is Sunset Whales by Elizabeth Hartman, a playful design that showcases whales swimming through colorful ocean waves. The pattern pairs perfectly with the included Scenery fabric collection, but it would also be beautiful in batiks, bright solids, or even scrappy fabrics. Like many of Elizabeth Hartman’s designs, it combines whimsical imagery with straightforward piecing to create a striking finished quilt.
Acorn Caps Quilt Pattern
As part of Fat Quarter Shop’s celebration of ten years of Sew Sampler, this month’s box also highlights the Acorn Caps quilt pattern from the Sew Sampler Vault. Originally released in 2019, this charming seasonal design features rows of acorns and is perfect for fall decorating. Whether you choose autumn-inspired prints or your own favorite fabric collection, it’s a fun pattern to keep in your library for future projects.
Spooled Quilt Along Progress
I also shared an update on my Spooled Quilt Along, Fat Quarter Shop’s current free quilt along. I’m making my version using fabrics from my own stash, combining reds with low-volume prints to create a look that’s uniquely mine. It’s always fun to see how the quilt evolves each month, and I’m looking forward to adding the newest block and watching the design continue to come together.

Final Thoughts on the June 2026 Sew Sampler
The June 2026 Sew Sampler was another excellent box from Fat Quarter Shop. Between the beautiful Scenery fabric collection by Elizabeth Hartman, the two quilt patterns, quality notions, premium thread, and bonus extras, there was a great mix of inspiration and practical quilting supplies. I especially enjoyed seeing the coastal color palette and getting another update on the Sew Sampler Vault celebration.
My total cost for this month’s box, including shipping and tax, was $37.35. The included items had a total retail value of $95.36, making this month’s box an outstanding value and one of the strongest Sew Sampler boxes I’ve received. If you enjoy discovering new fabrics, trying exclusive patterns, and building your quilting supplies each month, Sew Sampler continues to be a subscription I can confidently recommend.
