What’sIn The Box? March 2025
Sew Sampler • Cherrywood Fabrics • Quilt Projects & Giveaway
It’s time for another What’s In The Box! — and this one has a fresh, springtime feel with soft pastels, fun new tools, and some beautiful fabrics I’m excited to work with.
Even though I’ve been cutting back on subscriptions this year to focus on using what I already have, I’m still enjoying my Sew Sampler and Cherrywood Fabrics subscriptions — and this month did not disappoint.
Cherrywood Challenge Update
Before diving into the boxes, I had some exciting news to share — my Christmas Carol quilt (Scrooge and the final ghost) was accepted into the Cherrywood Challenge!
It will be traveling across the U.S. for the next year as part of the Storytime Challenge exhibit. I’ll be sharing locations on my social media in case you want to see it in person!
Cherrywood Fabrics Subscription Unboxing
This month’s Cherrywood package featured snow-dyed fabrics, and they are absolutely gorgeous.
- A full yard of teal with copper marbling
- A soft minty/light teal fabric with beautiful texture
I love how unique Cherrywood fabrics are — the hand-dyed look adds so much depth. These are going straight into my stash for the Nocturnal Nook BOM by Pitcher’s Boutique I’ll be starting soon.

This month’s Sew Sampler box was full of light, cheerful spring colors and useful tools.

Pastel Prairie Jolly Bar Designed by My Sew Quilty Life for Moda, this collection includes:
- Soft florals
- Ginghams (my favorite!)
- Text prints
- Gentle pastel colors
Perfect for a spring quilt or even a baby quilt.
Notions & Tools
- Creative Grids 2″ x 6″ ruler — compact and super handy
- Magnetic ruler handle — helps protect your fingers while cutting
- Aurifil thread (light salmon) — soft and perfect for pastel projects
Fabric: Pastel Prairie Jolly Bar
This month’s patterns gave me a little bit of everything. The exclusive Taffy Quilt Pattern has a playful, candy-like layout, the Lullaby Stars pattern is a perfect match for the Jolly Bar, and we’ve officially reached the final Flowering Block of the Month. It’s always fun when a project starts to come together, and this one is going to be especially bright and cheerful when it’s finished.

Final Thoughts
This box really captured that fresh, springtime feel with its fabrics and patterns, and I loved the mix of practical tools included as well. The total value came in at $67.36, compared to the $37.35 I paid with shipping and taxes, making it a great value overall. It’s always fun to open these and see what new inspiration comes with them each month.
❤️ Valentine’s Giveaway
To celebrate this month’s box opening, I’m sharing a little love from my sewing room with a Valentine’s-themed giveaway! 💕
I’ve been going through some of my patterns and decided it’s time to pass along a few that I’ve either already made or don’t plan to use — and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share them with one of you!
🎁 What You Can Win:
- Valentine-themed quilt patterns (from past Cupid Boxes)
- A 6.5″ ruler
- A Valentine-themed needle minder
One of the patterns has been used and does have some writing in it, but it’s still a really cute quilt and perfect for seasonal decorating!
