The Primitive Gatherings box arrives every other month and continues to be one of my favorite subscription boxes. Every shipment includes quality fabrics, patterns, and plenty of inspiration.

I continue to think this box offers an excellent value. For around $45 every two months, you receive a generous amount of fabric, an exclusive project, and patterns that I genuinely look forward to sewing.

The June 2026 Sew Sampler from Fat Quarter Shop arrived with a fun coastal theme, Making Waves, and included another beautiful mix of exclusive quilting goodies. This month’s box featured a fresh collection of fabrics by Elizabeth Hartman for Moda Fabrics, along with quality notions, a featured quilt pattern, and exciting updates on upcoming Sew Sampler projects. Let’s take a closer look at everything that was tucked inside this month’s box.

February’s Sew Sampler felt beautifully balanced — a mix of practical tools, cheerful fabric, and a project that’s completely doable without taking over your sewing room. The Butter Churn collection brings that soft farmhouse charm, the Vintage Milkmaid Star foundation papers make precision feel approachable, and the small Creative Grids ruler plus Olfa blade are tools I’ll genuinely use again and again. Add in Block 11 of the Flowering BOM and it feels like steady progress with a little spark of excitement. This box wasn’t overwhelming, it was inspiring — the kind that makes you want to clear your cutting mat and start stitching immediately.

The February 2026 Sew Sampler box costs $37.35 including shipping and tax (what I personally pay each month). Here’s how the retail values stack up:

🐄 Farmyard Friends Sew Along

The Farmyard Friends Sew Along, hosted by Fat Quarter Shop and designed by Lori Holt of Being My Bonnet, is a barnyard-inspired quilt project running from April through May 2026. Made using Lori Holt’s Farmer’s Daughter fabrics, this quilt features playful farm-themed blocks in a cheerful, vintage style. It’s one of those projects that feels lighthearted and nostalgic, perfect for spring stitching. While it may not be exactly my personal style, I can absolutely see how fun this would be for someone who loves whimsical farmhouse quilts or wants a seasonal project that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
