Why Quilters Love the Cupid Box
The Fat Quarter Shop 2026 Cupid Box is a seasonal treat that quilters eagerly anticipate. Each year, these curated boxes bring a fresh wave of creativity and joy, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day. Sew Sampler boxes, like the Cupid Box, are beloved for their unique themes and exclusive contents that inspire quilters to create beautiful projects. With a mix of high-quality fabrics, patterns, and notions, these boxes offer both inspiration and value, making them a favorite among quilting communities.
Fabrics: Full Hearts, Sew in Love
This year’s box includes the Full Hearts, Sew in Love Fat Quarter Bundle by Danny Marg Stafford for Riley Blake Designs. The bundle features a charming mix of florals, hearts, sewing motifs, and gingham in shades of blush pink and red. The fabrics are soft, cheerful, and versatile enough to use beyond Valentine projects if you prefer a more subtle approach.
Exclusive Pattern: Full Hearts Table Runner
The box also includes the Full Hearts Table Runner pattern, exclusive to the 2026 Cupid Box. The finished runner measures 22.5″ × 62.5″ and features heart blocks paired with X-and-O style elements. One thing I really like about this design is how adaptable it is — you could easily shorten it, turn the blocks into table toppers, or remix the layout to fit your space.
Notions Included
This year’s Cupid Box also came with several fun and useful notions:
-
A Lori Holt Tea Rose Seam Roller, which feels heavier and sturdier than similar versions I’ve used before
-
Red heart plastic-head pins, perfect for Valentine sewing (and possibly handy for my new free-motion quilting setup)
-
A Lori Holt 6.5″ square ruler, featuring clear markings and a visible quarter-inch seam allowance
These are the kinds of tools that may not be everyday essentials for everyone, but they’re great to have on hand — and they definitely fit the Cupid theme.
Final Thoughts on the Cupid Box
Is the Fat Quarter Shop 2026 Cupid Box Worth It?
Overall, the 2026 Cupid Box feels very on-theme with its reds, pinks, hearts, and thoughtful details. While Valentine sewing isn’t always my focus, the fabrics are genuinely pretty, the pattern is cute and flexible, and the notions will absolutely get used in my sewing room.
If you enjoy the Fat Quarter Shop specialty Sew Sampler boxes, the Cupid Box continues to be a fun seasonal treat. And if something doesn’t end up in one of my projects? It just might find its way into a future giveaway.
